Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring full-time Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for our Vascular Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit (9K), home to Hampton Roads' only Level I Trauma Center.
Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Norfolk, VA
Position Status: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Shift: Night shift
Available Hours: 7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m.
Weekends: Every other weekend
Holiday Rotation: Required

The unit also serves as an extension of our renal/pancreas transplant program, partnering closely with the outpatient transplant center to support patients through critical stages of care. Every bed is monitored, giving nurses the opportunity to strengthen telemetry skills while expanding their expertise in surgical specialty and transplant nursing.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
Certification/Licensure Requirements
- Registered Nurse license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or Sentara-approved Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card required within 6 months of hire
Experience Requirements
- 18 months RN experience required
