Located in downtown Charlotte on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center, Atrium Health CMC HPB Surgery specializes in the surgical treatment of diseases affecting the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and biliary system. Our multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for patients with complex hepatopancreatobiliary conditions. The clinic partners closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional care and a seamless patient experience.

Requirements




Required Qualifications

• 
  Current RN license in North Carolina
  


• 
  BSN required
  


• 
  Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in an ambulatory, surgical, or specialty clinic setting
  


• 
  Minimum 1 year of leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience
  


• 
  Strong knowledge of clinical operations, patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements
  


• 
  Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills
  


• 
  Experience collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Previous supervisory or management experience in a surgical specialty practice
  


• 
  Experience in HPB, general surgery, or other procedural specialties
  


• 
  Certification in Nursing Leadership, Ambulatory Care Nursing, or a related specialty
  


• 
  Experience with accreditation readiness, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives
  


• 
  Knowledge of Epic and ambulatory clinic scheduling and workflow processes
  

Position Details:



The Ambulatory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the HPB Surgery clinic and providing leadership for both clinical and clerical staff. Responsibilities include supervising team members, coordinating clinic staffing and coverage, approving and managing employee timecards, maintaining clinic supply inventory, addressing patient concerns, participating in operational and leadership meetings, communicating key updates to staff, supporting onboarding and professional development, monitoring clinic workflows, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
