Registered Nurse Trauma Spine

Mission Health, a comprehensive healthcare provider based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse Trauma Spine to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to trauma and spine patients in an acute care setting, supporting them through post-surgical recovery, complex medical needs, and ongoing rehabilitation. Working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and fellow nurses, you will perform thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer medications and treatments, and continually monitor and evaluate patient responses. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation, ensuring patient safety, adhering to infection prevention and hospital protocols, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning. This position requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition, and proficiency in using electronic health records and clinical equipment relevant to trauma and spine care. You will educate patients and their families about procedures, pain management, mobility precautions, and recovery expectations, promoting a patient-centered experience that emphasizes dignity, respect, and clear communication.
