Insurance Agency Accounting Specialist Part-Time Remote

A respected insurance services provider is seeking a detail-oriented accounting specialist for a flexible, part-time opportunity. Accounting Specialist Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proven expertise with Applied Epic accounting workflows
• Experience working with receivables, payables, and commissions

Accounting Specialist Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile receipts through Applied Pay and standard funding methods
• Enter cash receipts in Epic and clear client receivables
• Monitor and notate outstanding receivables, track payment plans, and follow up as needed
• Reconcile and pay carrier or broker invoices/statements, ensuring funds are collected
• Record, verify, and reconcile direct bill commission payments in Epic
• Run monthly reports to track commissions, producer payables, and carrier/broker transactions
• Manage normal vendor payables and assist with month-end closing in coordination with the controller
