Resident Assistant Hillview Terrace Assisted Living

Hillview Terrace is seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Assistant to join our dedicated Assisted Living team. In this role, you'll support our residents in a warm, person-centered, home-like environment while helping them maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

What You'll Do

  • Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities
  • Administer medications using the "Five Rights" and support treatment needs
  • Help during mealtimes, including food prep, supervision, and following diet plans
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure resident safety at all times
  • Follow individualized service plans and document care accurately
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition
  • Support recreational and social programming to help residents stay engaged
  • Perform basic housekeeping tasks (linen changes, laundry, general cleaning)
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and activities
  • Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, and all safety policies
  • Interact with residents, families, and coworkers in a courteous and respectful manner

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and hands-on care
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs and assist with transfers up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to push/pull wheelchairs up to 250 lbs
  • Use of nursing-related equipment (BP devices, lifts, scales, etc.)

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Resident Assistant (RCAC or CBRF) preferred
  • CBRF employees must be listed on the WI CBRF Registry with completion of required DHS 83 courses
  • Experience with geriatric, developmentally disabled, or mentally ill individuals preferred
  • Ability to follow directions, provide quality care, and work effectively with diverse individuals
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must pass background check per WI Caregiver Law
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required (if operating county vehicles)
