Job description:

  • Prepare and dispense appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Lead a team of pharmacy technicians.
  • Manage the overall day-to-day pharmacy responsibilities.
  • Review and execute provider's prescriptions, checking their appropriateness and legality.
  • Organize the pharmacy efficiently for easier product identification.
  • Maintain full control over medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring condition.
  • Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and provide information and advice.
  • Prepare medicine using correct dosages and materials for individual patients.
  • Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed.
  • Stay current with HIPAA and Fraud Waste and Abuse credentialing.
  • Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ensure that the Pharmacy and its employees comply with Federal, State, and Local laws.
  • Direct the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians and provide input into performance evaluations.
  • Manage Pharmacy Technicians' schedules and advise on leave requests or medical accommodations.

Qualifications:

  • Current License to practice (PharmD).
  • Previous leadership role is helpful.
  • Ability to utilize Patient Management System in the Pharmacy.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of retail pharmacy manager experience.
  • Great leadership, communication, and management skills.
