- Prepare and dispense appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients.
- Lead a team of pharmacy technicians.
- Manage the overall day-to-day pharmacy responsibilities.
- Review and execute provider's prescriptions, checking their appropriateness and legality.
- Organize the pharmacy efficiently for easier product identification.
- Maintain full control over medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring condition.
- Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and provide information and advice.
- Prepare medicine using correct dosages and materials for individual patients.
- Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed.
- Stay current with HIPAA and Fraud Waste and Abuse credentialing.
- Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Ensure that the Pharmacy and its employees comply with Federal, State, and Local laws.
- Direct the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians and provide input into performance evaluations.
- Manage Pharmacy Technicians' schedules and advise on leave requests or medical accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Current License to practice (PharmD).
- Previous leadership role is helpful.
- Ability to utilize Patient Management System in the Pharmacy.
- Minimum 3-5 years of retail pharmacy manager experience.
- Great leadership, communication, and management skills.
