Retail Sales Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily cash control procedures and point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
  • Open and close the store following established procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and support a positive shopping experience.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Process customer purchases, returns, exchanges, and special orders.
  • Receive, process, and organize incoming/outbound merchandise shipments.
  • Maintain stock balances, monitor inventory levels, and restock merchandise as needed.
  • Process Mark Out of Stock (MOS), Return to Vendor (RTV), markdown freight, and inter-store transfers.
  • Complete inventory documentation and support annual store inventory counts.
  • Execute floor sets and maintain merchandising standards.
  • Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure merchandise is properly stored.
  • Identify and report safety, housekeeping, customer complaint, and facility maintenance issues.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED and 4+ years of related work experience
  • 2+ years of retail sales, customer service, inventory, or store operations experience preferred.
  • Experience using POS systems, handling cash transactions, and processing returns/exchanges.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage inventory, merchandise transfers, stockroom organization, and customer orders in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and support routine store cleaning/restocking needs.
