Education and Experience

Minimum Required

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's in nursing or evidence of planned completion within two (2) years.
  • Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's in nursing.
  • Previous experience in relevant nursing practice setting.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.

License and/or Certification

Minimum Required

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License. A minimum of one year of RN experience in an ACF with demonstrated ability to teach adult learners as evidenced and documented.
  • Must have completed a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners or have a NYS Education Department Teacher Certification ‐ or ‐ 2 years experience teaching nursing or nursing related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the State Education Department. Or, 2 years of experience teaching Home Health Aides in a residential health care facility.
  • Must possess UAS Certification.

Work Environment

  • The work area is usually an adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated office or medical facility setting. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.

Age of Patients Served

  • Early Adult: 18 ‐ 45 Years

  • Mid‐Adult: 46 ‐ 59 Years

HIPAA Role Based Patient Information Access

  • Level 4: All‐Access to all patient information
