RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare delivery system in New Jersey, and RWJ University Hospital Somerset are seeking a full-time, BC/BE Neurologist to join our multidisciplinary team as part of the RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a robust neurology practice with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, serving a diverse patient population with a wide range of neurological conditions.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive neurological care, including but not limited to general adult neurology, stroke, epilepsy, encephalopathy, headache, neuromuscular disorders, and movement disorders. Responsibilities include inpatient consults, hospital rounds, EEG interpretation, and collaborative coverage with other RWJBH neurologists. This position also offers opportunities for teaching, mentorship, clinical trials, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $315,000 to $400,000 per year.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of neurological disorders.

  • Perform and interpret neurological diagnostic tests, including EEGs.

  • Prescribe and manage treatment plans, medications, and supportive services.

  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Nurses and support their training and development.

  • Participate in practice coverage and rotating call schedule.

  • Engage in clinical research and quality improvement projects.

  • Educate residents, fellows, students, and APPs.

  • Attend and contribute to departmental, hospital, and stroke performance improvement committee meetings.

Candidate Requirements:

  • MD/DO degree

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology
