Sales Agronomist | Alexandria, MN Area | $75K-$125K + DOE

A growing agricultural retailer near Alexandria, MN area is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Sales Agronomist to partner directly with local growers. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor-helping farmers make informed decisions while delivering solutions across seed, crop protection, and crop nutrition.

This is a highly relationship-driven position that blends time in the field with strategic sales planning, giving you the autonomy to build your territory and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local growers through consistent face-to-face interaction
• Develop and execute customized sales plans for each customer
• Sell a full portfolio of agronomy products including seed, crop protection, and crop nutrition
• Conduct 5-10 in-person meetings per week with growers
• Balance time between field visits and in-office planning (proposals, calls, and follow-ups)
• Leverage company-provided leads while also prospecting new business opportunities
• Collaborate with internal marketing and sales teams to grow territory revenue
• Manage and grow a defined book of business while developing new accounts

• Growing repeat business year over year
• Achieving and exceeding individual sales targets
• Building a sustainable and expanding territory

Qualifications

• Background in agronomy, agriculture, or related field preferred
• Experience selling into the ag market strongly preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage a flexible schedule
• Business-minded with strong organizational and follow-through skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $70,000 - $100,000
• Bonus/Commission offered with uncapped earning potential
