A well-established agricultural company is seeking a relationship-driven Sales Agronomist to work directly with growers across the territory. This role focuses on building long-term customer relationships while providing agronomic recommendations, crop input support, and precision agriculture solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, spending time in the field, and helping growers improve profitability and crop performance.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with growers throughout the territory
- Provide agronomic recommendations for fertility, crop protection, seed, and crop management programs
- Conduct field scouting and identify weeds, insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
- Assist growers with precision agriculture recommendations and data interpretation
- Develop and grow sales within the assigned territory
- Stay current on agronomic trends, products, and technologies
- Coordinate with operations and support teams to ensure excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, or related background preferred
- Prior agronomy sales or crop consulting experience preferred
- Knowledge of crop production, soil fertility, and crop protection products
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Precision ag experience is a plus
- CCA preferred but not required
