The Sales Associate's primary function is to sell and promote Original Penguin (OPG) merchandise through execution of OPG customer service standards. Their duties include greeting customers when they enter the store, helping customers find specific products or showing them how to use them and ringing up customer purchases on the POS register.
Responsibilities include interacting with customers in a courteous, friendly manner, generating maximum sales potential in accordance with the OPG customer service standards, building a repeat customer base through excellent PE Loyalty Program data capture, maintaining strong knowledge regarding product, promotions, and special events in order to communicate to customers more effectively, consistently fostering a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members in a fair and consistent manner, effectively maintaining floor coverage, acknowledging every customer, treating customers with priority over assigned tasks, consistently being productive throughout the entire shift, consistently reporting to work on time, demonstrating flexibility with his/her schedule, understanding individual and store sales goals, following all operational policies and procedures, and following guidance from management to execute visual standards, recovery and replenishment.
Requirements include an energetic and positive attitude, retail experience is preferred, strong verbal and written skills, strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, and being customer service-oriented (outgoing, friendly, and personable with a positive attitude).
