What you will be doing:

• Builds and maintains a pipeline of new customer opportunities through consistent outbound prospecting
• Manages and grows existing accounts to maximize margin abilities
• Negotiates rates and terms that deliver cost-effective logistics solutions for customers while protecting GEODIS margin
• Applies business development skills to identify, qualify, and develop relationships with new business prospects
• Monitors market conditions and business trends to identify opportunities to grow margins
• Tracks all sales activity, opportunities, and account history in the CRM
• Maintains reliable communications with sales team and customer to support and resolve any problems
• Understands and supports the goals, policies, and procedures of GEODIS

Requirements:

• Drive to succeed, confidence, and superior verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Exceptional customer service focus and skills
• Willingness to make a minimum of 50 outbound sales calls per day
• Ability to work well independently, occasionally with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
• Ability to follow established processes, maintain required standards, and contribute process improvements back to the team
• Organizational and scheduling skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Previous freight brokerage experience (preferred)
• 6+ months of customer sales experience (preferred)
• 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) experience and familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management System) platforms (preferred)
