This position will be responsible for directing the cleaning and sanitizing of the plant to maintain conformance to USDA standards within a schedule to ensure maximum operating time. This position would require you to relocate (if needed) to an open SM position within the company.
The position will be based out of a designated Pilgrim's facility preferably these locations Carrollton, GA, Gainesville, GA, Broadway, VA, Cold Spring, MN, or Russellville, AL. This is NOT a remote position!
Basic responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of the sanitation department, complying with company policies and standards, supervising, training and developing sanitation employees, assisting in performing regular housekeeping audits, developing sanitation procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), USDA and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks, maintaining GMP provisions and monitoring employee practices that relate to cleanliness, sanitation and pest control, conducting safety training to comply with OSHA regulations and company standards, developing and implementing new methods, procedures and systems to improve sanitation performance, maintaining all pertinent records, reports and other paperwork as needed, and partnering with production and maintenance resources to meet plant objectives.
Basic qualifications include five years sanitation experience in a related field, five years supervisory or managerial experience preferred, computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), SAP experience preferred, ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners, ability to work other days/hours as needed, and willingness and ability to travel, work a flexible schedule as needed, and relocate in support of advancement opportunities aligned with organizational needs and leadership selection.
Education requirement is a high school diploma/GED required. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field.
