Job Description: SAP Cloud ERP, Business Consultant - Finance (FICO)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Cloud ERP (S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition) Business Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition capabilities, best practices, and implementation strategies or similar experience. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless connectivity between various systems, enhancing business processes, and driving digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Consultation & Strategy

• Collaborate with end customers to understand business processes and requirements.
• Develop and provide expert guidance on SAP Cloud ERP capabilities, best practices, and implementation strategies.

Implementation & Configuration

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Cloud ERP, Public Edition solutions using the SAP Activate Methodology.
• Ensure solutions align with end customers’ needs and requirements and SAP Fit to Standard best practices.
• Manage timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Navigate and manage multiple implementation projects in parallel.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers, to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear understanding of project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.

Training & Documentation

• Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users and stakeholders.
• Create detailed documentation for system configurations and processes.

Support & Organization

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance of SAP Cloud ERP, Public Edition systems after completion of the initial implementation.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimization to improve business processes.

Line of Business Experience:

• FICO - Core Finance (FI) and Management Accounting (CO): Deep working knowledge of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Cost/Profit Center Accounting, including the Universal Journal.
• Financial Close and Group Reporting: Command of period-end and year-end close processes, intercompany reconciliation, and SAP Group Reporting for consolidation, including local versus group valuation requirements.
• Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM): Familiarity with Credit Management, Collections Management, and Dispute Management.
• Statutory and regulatory compliance: Understanding of multi-GAAP and multi-ledger accounting (parallel ledgers, IFRS/local GAAP), tax determination, and country-specific localization.
• Integration across the value chain: Clear grasp of how Finance integrates with Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain and Manufacturing/Costing flows
• Costing and profitability: Working knowledge of Product Costing, Margin Analysis (account-based CO-PA), and overhead allocation to support management decision-making.
• Cash and treasury processes: Experience with Bank Account Management, cash operations, bank statement processing, and payment run configuration and automation.
• Reporting and analytics: Fluency with embedded analytics, standard SAP Fiori analytical apps, key financial KPIs, and the ability to translate business reporting needs into the right tools.
• Fixed Assets / Asset Accounting: Expertise in the Asset Accounting scope—asset master data and asset classes, acquisitions and retirements, depreciation areas and methods, parallel valuation across ledgers, periodic depreciation runs, and year-end asset closing, including the integration of asset postings into the Universal Journal.

Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience with SAP Cloud ERP implementations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Location
• Remote in North America with some travel required to customer sites. Travel within USA expected to average about one 3 day trip per month.
