SAP SD Business Process Manager (Sales & Distribution)

Remote for 1st year then must relocate to Cleveland, OH or open to Cary, NC as second priority

Contract to hire opening

Were really looking for someone with good communication and business acumen. This role can be hb1/green card/US citizen and can start remote and work remote for the first year. Weve missed the mark because weve shown folks who are technical but dont have the communication skills needed to communicate with the business, which is a big part.

Must-Haves (non-negotiable)

• Direct SAP experience candidate must have worked hands-on in SAP; other ERPs alone (Workday, Oracle, etc.) are not acceptable
• SAP SD functional expertise, specifically:
• Order-to-Cash
• Pricing (called out explicitly as a must)
• Implementation experience:
• Prefer SAP S/4HANA, but ECC is acceptable
• Candidate must have been part of at least one implementation and be able to hit the ground running
• Functional + technical depth:
• Ability to translate business processes into SAP configuration
• Able to partner with ABAP developers on enhancements and explain requirements clearly
• Senior-level capability:
• 5+ years experience
• Not a junior or train-up role
• Manufacturing context:
• Experience supporting manufacturing environments is strongly expected (banking-only backgrounds were called out as a poor fit)
• On-site commitment:
• Not a remote role
• Expected 4 days onsite, with expectation this may move to fully onsite
• Cleveland preferred (Cary, NC only for truly exceptional candidates)
• Work authorization:
• Must be U.S. citizen or green card holder
• No H-1B sponsorship

Core Responsibilities (as described)

• Gather and define business requirements
• Design and validate end-to-end SD business processes
• Configure SAP and ensure solutions align with how the business operates
• Work directly with developers on enhancements
• Produce functional and technical documentation
• Support testing, process simulations, training, cutover, and hypercare

Nice-to-Haves

• Salesforce experience (explicitly called out as a plus, not required)
• Experience in multiple SAP implementations
