Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (as required by state guidelines)
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs of school-age children
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, students, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes, special education law, and data-driven practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans for academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, providing recommendations and expertise
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design effective supports and strategies
- Contribute to crisis intervention and behavioral management plans as needed
- Deliver counseling and guidance services for individuals and small groups
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation consistent with school and state standards
