School Van Driver
$18-$21/hour | Full-Time | El Dorado Hills, Elk Grove, Sacramento, or surrounding areas | Monday-Friday | Split Shifts (Early Morning & Afternoon)
About the Role:
Transport students safely to and from our El Dorado Hills campus while providing supervision and support during transit. You'll ensure students' safety, maintain vehicle operations, and assist with errands and special transport needs. This role works closely with program staff to ensure every student has a safe, secure, and positive transportation experience to and from school each day.

What You'll Do:
Operate vehicles safely, adhering to all driving laws and safety protocols
Supervise students during transportation to and from school to ensure safety and security
Complete daily logs, including van attendance, behavioral logs, 1:1 logs, and fuel purchases
Follow safety procedures for loading/unloading students and secure wheelchairs or scooters as needed
Run program errands, including package deliveries, late runs, and transporting students to workability events or other appointments
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness and functionality; report maintenance issues
What We're Looking For:
Must Have:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid driver's license
Prior experience driving passengers
DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check, TB clearance, 5-panel drug screening, and DOT Physical
Must be at least 21 years of age
Ability to read/use maps or GPS and perform physical tasks like lifting, reaching, and walking
Two-year degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
Experience working with students needing behavioral, social, or emotional support
CPI, CPR and First Aide certifications

- Shift Hours: This position requires the flexibility of working a split shift.
- 1st Shift = 4:30AM/ 5:30AM -- 9:00AM
- 2nd Shift = 1:30PM -- 5PM/6PM

Experience working with students needing behavioral, social, or emotional support
CPI, CPR and First Aide certifications
Physical Demands:
- Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
- Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items.
- Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
