Senior Audit Manager

This firm in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to lead attest engagements, manage audit staff, and review financial statements. The role oversees audit planning, execution, and reporting while partnering closely with executive leadership and operational departments. No overnight travel is required.

Full time, in office in Manhattan, KS.

$130,000 to $180,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.

What You'll Do

The Senior Audit Manager will direct fieldwork on financial statement audits and accounting engagements, monitoring the progress of engagements against budgets and due dates. This includes supervising and reviewing engagement planning, and reviewing and assessing completed audits for quality and accuracy.

The role involves training, monitoring, and evaluating audit staff, along with analyzing financial data, records, reports, and statements to identify and assess areas of significant business risk. The Senior Audit Manager will also manage resources and audit assignments across the team, and will maintain substantial client contact throughout engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in auditing
  • Active CPA license
  • Solid knowledge of auditing regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience supervising or managing audit staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public accounting or a professional services firm
  • Prior experience training or mentoring junior audit staff
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent engagements
