Senior Civil Design Engineer

Knife River is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to support infrastructure and construction materials projects across the U.S. In this role, you will lead civil and structural design for roads, highways, and commercial developments using aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and asphalt. You will prepare and review drawings, calculations, and specifications, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Working closely with project managers and field teams, you’ll develop constructible, cost-effective solutions, support estimating and bid efforts, conduct site visits, and mentor junior staff in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment.
