Senior Director (RN)

To provide strategic and operational leadership in driving quality outcomes, clinical performance, and patient care excellence. This role will play a key part in strengthening hospital quality initiatives, developing high-performing teams, and collaborating across departments and providers to ensure compliance, efficiency, and outstanding patient experience. The ideal candidate is an accomplished nurse leader with a strong background in acute care operations, quality initiatives, and team developmentpreferably within a for-profit hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level leadership and direction to support hospital clinical and quality goals.
  • Build, develop, and lead teams focused on quality improvement initiatives, performance metrics, and patient safety.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure care delivery aligns with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Monitor and drive improvements in quality outcomes, operational workflows, and clinical efficiency.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate collaboration across interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and overall care standards.
  • Support quality programs, data-driven decision making, audits, and compliance-driven initiatives.
  • Establish effective communication and engagement with internal clinical staff and leadership.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Active (or eligible) New Mexico RN License (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) (required)
  • 7+ years of healthcare experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience building and leading teams focused on quality initiatives
  • Strong clinical leadership, communication, and team development skills

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-To-Haves)

  • Advanced degree strongly preferred: MSN, Healthcare Administration, MBA
  • Experience working in a for-profit hospital environment (strongly preferred)
  • Experience facilitating relationships with providers/physicians
