How will you make an impact?
As an Industrial Engineer – Subject Matter Expert with Jabil, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing production and servicing systems to ensure performance, reliability, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence. This role drives profitability, operational effectiveness, continuous improvement, and the delivery of high-quality products and services throughout their lifecycle.
What will you do?
- Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing; integrated, production and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control within the production site.
- Project leader – direct and implement projects that will eliminate waste, through the standard Industrial Engineering process. This will include but is not limited to: Complex Process Simulation, Operations Research and Business Model Cost Analysis
- Lead as Site Subject Matter Expert in all global & regional IE systems, practices and applications (IEDB, MPT, PFC)
- Communicate to the site leadership team key Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customer(s)
- Support & Advise Business Unit Coordinators on process reliability and accuracy of process and project assumptions
- Drive process improvement related activities for New Product Introduction.
- Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team
- Support and/or maintain all lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities
- Communicate, consult, and inform Site IE best practices with supporting data to Regional and Global IE teams
- Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity in order to support process improvement through the organization
- Understanding and application of broad range of industrial engineering tools (i.e. Work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.).
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
How will you get here?
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar related discipline required. Masters degree in Industrial Engineering or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role OR other combination of education or experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Leadership or Supervisory role required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Lean Masters Certificate or Six Sigma Bronze required
- MS Suite experience including Outlook, Visio and Project required.
- AutoCAD skills/experience required
- Strong financial and analytical ability, for example Profit & Loss, Planning and Delivery
