Shipyard HVAC Tech 1st Class (Hiring Immediately)

Job Title: Shipyard HVAC Technician Pay: $34.00 Responsibilities * Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and construction information. * Lay out ductwork, fittings, hangers, penetrations, and related HVAC components. * Measure, fabricate, cut, and install ductwork and fittings with minimal supervision. * Mark locations, shoot pins, and install insulation on ductwork, deckheads, side shells, and beams. * Measure, build, and install equipment pads. * Fabricate and install pipe-covering fittings and lagging with minimal visible seams. * Fabricate sheet metal using shears and brakes. * Mount and install HVAC equipment, valves, and air hangers. * Transport drawings and required materials to the jobsite and complete assigned work with minimal supervision. * Accurately read metric and standard tape measures. * Follow proper safety procedures and maintain tools and work areas. Qualifications * 5 years of shipyard experience * Working knowledge of HVAC practices, methods, materials, and equipment. * Knowledge of industrial insulation and sheet-metal fabrication. * Basic mechanical skills and trade mathematics. * Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints. * Ability to work with minimal supervision.
