Required Skills & Experience
15-20 years of HSE experience supporting large-scale construction, industrial, EPC, mission-critical, or data center projects
Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (or 15+ years of field-based HSE leadership experience)
Proven experience leading HSE performance on large, multi-contractor construction sites with high workforce volumes
Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, environmental compliance, risk management, and incident investigation processes
Experience developing and implementing site-specific HSE plans, emergency response plans, and risk mitigation programs
Demonstrated ability to build strong safety cultures and influence contractor and workforce behaviors
Experience conducting site audits, inspections, safety walkdowns, and compliance assessments
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing HSE reporting, documentation, corrective actions, and lessons learned programs
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting hyperscale data center or mission-critical facility construction projects
Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or equivalent HSE credentials
Experience working directly with clients, regulatory agencies, and third-party safety organizations
Familiarity with contractor safety management systems and behavioral-based safety programs
Experience supporting project startup, commissioning, and turnover activities
Knowledge of environmental permitting and sustainability initiatives within construction environments
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Site HSE Manager to support the engineering, procurement, and construction of hyperscale, mission-critical data center projects across the United States for a leading energy company. This role will serve as the site leader for all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations throughout project execution. The Site HSE Manager will partner closely with construction leadership, subcontractors, and client representatives to drive a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement. This individual will lead the implementation of site-specific HSE plans, conduct regular safety audits and inspections, oversee incident investigations and corrective actions, facilitate workforce training and engagement programs, and monitor contractor compliance to ensure a safe and incident-free work environment. Acting as the primary HSE point of contact for the project, the Site HSE Manager will provide visible field leadership, support risk mitigation efforts across all work fronts, maintain regulatory and project compliance documentation, and reinforce safety expectations across a large, multi-contractor construction site.
