Senior Director - Long-Range Research Initiative (LRI) & Applied Science Strategies

Location: Washington, DC Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Tuesday to Thursday in-office and Monday and Friday remote!

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Director - Long-Range Research Initiative (LRI) & Applied Science Strategies to lead scientific research programs and apply research findings to support regulatory, policy, and strategic decision-making. This role will oversee research initiatives, manage scientific collaborations, and work closely with domestic and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Long-Range Research Initiative (LRI) program.
• Develop research strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee research projects, budgets, contracts, and consultants.
• Analyze scientific data and translate findings into policy recommendations.
• Collaborate with industry, government, academia, and international research organizations.
• Present scientific findings to leadership and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in the chemical industry, government, or related scientific field.
• Strong knowledge of chemical safety, regulatory science, and research management.
• Experience with international scientific collaborations and data analysis.

Preferred

• Experience in risk assessment and regulatory policy.
• Background in toxicology, environmental science, or public health.
• Excellent leadership and science communication skills.
