Must-Have:

• Experience in acute hospital OR and ambulatory surgery center
• Knowledge of proper selection of wrapping materials and sterilization procedures
• Ability to prep/pack and sterilize for various surgeries

Description:

Job Requirements: Experience as a Sterile Processing Tech is required. A high school diploma or GED is mandatory. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend and floating requirements are applicable. On-call duty is required: one weekday night per week and one weekend per month. Scheduling requests cannot be accommodated, and flexibility is expected. Familiarity with biological and chemical indicators is essential. Experience with various scopes, including bronchoscopes and colonoscopes, is preferred. Knowledge of high-level disinfection and immediate-use steam sterilization techniques is necessary. Must adhere to aseptic techniques. Interdisciplinary support is part of the role. Daily census and patient age groups will vary. Special procedures include those related to spine, ortho, bariatric, ENT, robotic, urology, and general surgery.
