Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the field. License: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification preferred. Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: - Experience in decontamination and sterilization processes. - Familiarity with high-level disinfection and scope processing. - Knowledge of sterile storage and OR liaison duties. - Experience with tracking systems. - Ability to manage case cart needs. - Experience in an acute hospital or ambulatory surgery setting. Description: We are seeking candidates who are experienced in all areas of sterile processing. Responsibilities include decontaminating all items and managing the sterilization process. Candidates should have high-level disinfection and scope experience. Familiarity with sterilization tracking systems is required. Responsibilities also include moving case carts, separating dirty items, and preparing case cart needs for upcoming procedures. Candidates will take calls for surgical cases from the OR. Experience with a variety of instruments and equipment including drills, Da Vinci systems, and various scopes is essential. Applicants must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed. Previous charge experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively. Travelers may be required to float between locations and must complete necessary credentialing requirements promptly.
