Surgical Instrument Reprocessing Technician

This position requires availability for an 8-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The Surgical Instrument Reprocessing Technician is responsible for the reprocessing of surgical instruments to ensure they are safe and ready for use. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess surgical instruments in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of instruments.
• Follow infection control practices during reprocessing tasks.
• Document reprocessing activities and maintenance of sterilized instruments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical instrument reprocessing or related specialty.
• HSPA Certification preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Holiday Expectations

The position requires working during two major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, along with one minor holiday such as the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.
