Storeroom Attendant

The Storeroom Attendant will support inventory management, receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment operations at the customer facility. This role is a Site Coordinator/VMI hybrid position focused on maintaining accurate inventory records, processing purchase orders and requisitions, supporting warehouse activities, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable using computer systems, and able to manage inventory in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload, inspect, and put away incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts through cycle counting and inventory audits.
  • Create purchase orders, requisitions, and inventory requests using Vallen and customer databases.
  • Issue materials, tools, and supplies to employees while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Organize and maintain storeroom inventory using 5S principles (sorting, cleaning, organizing, standardizing).
  • Load and unload vending machines and manage stocked inventory.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies and report issues appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, deliveries, and equipment.
  • Assist with warehouse receiving and other facility duties as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support site employees.
  • Inspect tools/equipment for damage, wear, or defects.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally without assistance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ months of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with receiving, stocking, picking, packing, or material handling.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and understand safety procedures, work instructions, and inventory documents.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience will be considered.
