Location: Southern California
On behalf of a retained client, we are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Southern California.
This individual will play a key role in managing field operations on large-scale treatment plant and pump station projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field operations on Water/Wastewater treatment plant and pump station projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, equipment, and materials onsite
- Drive project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Owners, and Inspectors throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Lead site coordination meetings and oversee field execution
- Identify and resolve construction and sequencing issues proactively
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and project requirements
Requirements
- Proven Superintendent experience delivering Water/Wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, or related infrastructure projects
- Strong background in structural and mechanical scopes of work
- Experience managing structural concrete, piping, process mechanical installations, and equipment setting
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices
Preferred Background
- Public works or municipal construction experience
- Experience with self-perform work and subcontractor management
- Background working on large-scale civil infrastructure projects throughout California
