Division Chief Duties

As Division Chief, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Division. Formulates program goals, plans policies, procedures, and work plans dealing with the development and operation of command-wide support resources (financial, manpower, and information technology) functions and activities; participates in providing both technical and administrative direction to subordinate branch chiefs and through them their assigned nonsupervisory employees.

Provides advice and assistance to the Directorate leadership on financial management, budget, manpower, information technology, business operations/processes, and performance/efficiency of the Directorate to effectively meet current and long-range program goals and objectives.

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher level management or headquarters.

Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers/directors of the same agency as well as with managers/directors and staff in organizations within other MAJCOMs, Air Force (AF), Department of Defense (DoD), Other Agencies, etc.
