As part of our commitment to quality, we provide professional tailoring and alterations to ensure every garment fits and feels exactly right.Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Tailor to support our inhouse alterations services. This role is responsible for performing fittings, taking accurate measurements, and completing highquality alterations on a variety of garments. The ideal candidate has strong technical ability, a keen eye for detail, and a customerfocused approach.This is an onsite position working closely with clients, sales associates, and store leadership to ensure every alteration meets Bavington Clothiers standards for fit, comfort, and presentation.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct fittings and take precise measurementsPerform alterations on tailored menswear, womenswear, casual apparel, and formalwearComplete handsewing, machinesewing, pressing, and finishing workProvide guidance to clients on fit, alteration options, and garment careCollaborate with sales team members during client consultationsMaintain an organized, efficient, and professional workspaceManage multiple alteration orders and meet promised timelinesUphold Bavington Clothiers standards of craftsmanship and serviceQualificationsProven experience in tailoring and alterations (retail or alterations shop experience preferred)Strong technical skills across a range of garment types and fabricsProficiency with sewing machines, sergers, and pressing equipmentExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityStrong communication and customerservice skillsAbility to manage workflow and meet deadlines reliablyProfessional, friendly, and teamoriented demeanorPerksHealth benefits and 401(k) options for full-time employees Opportunity to work alongside an amazing team as we build something new here in Lancaster County
