Location: Onsite - Brownwood, TX

Competitive Compensation: Starting at $21.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for night shifts.

Shift Needed: 2nd Shift: 4pm - 2:30 am

We are looking for a Tank Spray Machine Operator in our Vitreous Department. This position will be based at our Brownwood, TX location, where we specialize in manufacturing high-quality bathroom products, including luxury bathtubs and toilets.

Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities

  • Operate spray machine to properly apply glaze to tanks/covers and load onto Kiln cars according to specific guidelines and instructions. Transport ware with forklift when required, in both the Spray and Cast Shop areas.

  • Operate the spray machine at the specified pace to properly apply glaze to tanks.

  • Load unsprayed greenware tanks onto spray machine from greenware storage rack,being careful not to break or damage the ware.

  • Load sprayed greenware tanks onto firing setters or storage rack from spray machine, being careful not to break or damage the ware.

  • Perform limited manual spraying in specific areas as required.

  • Make necessary adjustments to the spray machine to ensure proper glaze coverage, including the cleaning of spray guns, and weight and thickness readings.

  • Deliver racks of greenware from dryer to the spray machine with a forklift; scan each bar code for proper color, plate number, etc., prior to spraying and loading.

  • Maintain orderly work area (i.e. clean spray equipment and keep in good working conditions, etc.

  • Practice and follow all safety regulations.

  • Perform all duties assigned by supervision.

  • Inspect and adjust tank and/or covers as required to prevent defects.

  • Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.

  • Requires moderate physical demand.

  • Requires ability to process a designated number of units.

  • Must be able to work scheduled overtime.

  • Possibility of reduced work hours.

  • Must have the ability to follow general instructions.

  • Must have a working knowledge of ware handling system and loading of kiln cars.
