Effective communication and problem solving skills. Ability to problem solve in a fast paced work environment Ability to work collaboratively with staff in an educational setting. Regular and predictable attendance Qualified to be employed as a teacher aide per Civil Service and NYS Education Department guidelines. Ability to lift and maneuver children and general classroom supplies.
Shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Attend meetings as needed
- Follow directives (written, oral, electronic)
- Regular use of school email
- General Teacher Aide assignments
- Support Students with Special Education services. 1:1 Student Support Assistive Technology
- Attendance Data Collection
- Feeding or assistance feeding
- General Clerical Assignments
- General Education classroom aide support
- General Supervision Arrival, Dismissal, Playground, Cafeteria, Transition Times
- General Student Assistance Lamination
- Lifting Unassisted and assisted for school aged children with little ability to manipulate themselves.
- Program Aide for specialized services (12:1:1, 12:1:3, 15:1:1, 8:1:1) Sensory Breaks Test Accommodations Material modifications Personal Hygiene and/or toiletry
- Maintain Data Security as applicable.
- Maintain confidentiality with staff, student and family information
- Operate in a respectful, responsible manner
Reports to: Building Level Administration Salary: $16.00 per hour as per the contract between Victor Central Schools and the CSEA Unit
