Team Leader, DSD Warehouse
Apply NowOverview The DSD Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for receipt, shipment and storage.
Responsibilities Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Determines space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lays out position of shipment.
Inspects loading and unloading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies appropriate personnel for repair.
Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
Issues written and oral instructions.
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
Adjusts errors and complaints.
Participates in inventory record accuracy program.
Maintains area in accordance with all internal and external regulatory guidelines, i.e., OSHA, FDA, PDA, DOT, etc.
Responsible for meeting respective shift(s) goals for five (5) areas of accountability: safety, quality, cost, customer service, and people development.
May perform other duties as required.
Who You Will Work With Reporting into Warehouse Manager, you will directly supervise two or more employees in the Warehouse Department. You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications Must Have
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years of experience within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or supply chain.
Nice to Have
Associates Degree.
2+ years of supervisory experience within a warehouse.
Compensation & Benefits The target base salary range for this full?time, salaried position is between $55,300 and $76,000. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
