Technical Sales Engineer

A specialized manufacturer in aerospace and defense markets is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (Direct Hire) to drive growth through consultative selling of engineered products. This role blends business development with technical expertise, focusing on expanding customer relationships and identifying new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and executing strategic sales plans within targeted markets
  • Build strong customer relationships, identify technical requirements, and position tailored product solutions that align with performance and application needs
  • Conduct market analysis, track industry trends, and provide insights to influence product strategy, pricing, and competitive positioning
  • Lead technical presentations, support trade shows and customer meetings, and act as a subject matter expert throughout the sales cycle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on technical sales experience
  • Proven success in technical sales, business development, and account growth within a complex or engineered product environment
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with CRM/ERP systems and strong organizational skills to manage forecasts, pipelines, and customer activities

Location: ONSITE - Stamford, CT

Hours: M-F (Fridays off at 1pm) - Summer hours start in July

Travel: up to 20%

Salary: $110K - $120K

Bonus: 20% paid out quarterly (5% each quarter hitting team goals)
