Telecommunications Manager

The major duties of the Telecommunications Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Managing, coordinating, and administrating operations of a communications center
2. Direct supervision of public safety dispatch supervisors and public safety dispatchers
3. Preparing the annual division budget
4. Establishing performance standards
5. Reviewing work performed and taking necessary corrective actions
6. Participates in regional and national public safety communication organizations and initiatives
7. Recruitment and hiring of subordinate positions (Dispatch Supervisor and Dispatcher)
