What You'll Do
- Provide direct support to patients in long-term care settings under the supervision of an occupational therapist
- Assist with patient rehabilitation and recovery activities
- Implement treatment plans and adapt interventions as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and document outcomes accurately
- Support patient safety and well-being during therapy sessions
- Maintain proper documentation and communicate with the interdisciplinary team
- Foster a compassionate environment to promote patient engagement and recovery
What You Need
Required:
- Valid OTA or COTA certification/license
- Prior experience in long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience supporting elderly or chronically ill patients
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
