Mechanic

In this role, you will work on both trailers and tractors, performing a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks. These include preventative maintenance, changing brakes, tires, and lights, troubleshooting and repairing ABS systems, replacing mud flaps, conducting DOT inspections, diagnosing electrical issues, and performing both external and internal engine repairs. Additionally, you will handle minor welding repairs.

Conduct preventative maintenance on trailers and tractors.

Change brakes, tires, and lights.

Troubleshoot and repair ABS systems.

Replace mud flaps and conduct DOT inspections.

Diagnose and repair electrical issues.

Perform engine repairs both externally and internally.

Execute minor welding repairs.

Experience as a trailer mechanic.

Proficiency in welding, including stick and MIG welding.

Possession of own tools and welding gear.

1-2 years experience as a trailer mechanic, technician, or in trailer repairs.

Diesel and small engine experience is a plus.

Experience with automated maintenance systems is advantageous.

Training available for State inspections.

Work in a medium-sized, metal shop that is non-climate controlled, with access to a climate-controlled office. The shop is a bit dirty with a gravel parking lot. The shift is from 7am to 4pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
