Transportation / Heavy Equipment Manager

Seeking an experienced Transportation / Heavy Equipment Manager to oversee heavy equipment maintenance, fleet operations, CDL transportation, and shop personnel. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and efficient day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance shop operations, mechanics, and CDL drivers.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Schedule equipment and CDL transportation.
• Supervise employee performance, scheduling, and timesheets.
• Coordinate equipment purchases, parts, vendors, and fleet replacements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct weekly safety meetings.
• Support field operations with equipment, transportation, and emergency response.
• Maintain equipment readiness and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years managing heavy highway equipment maintenance operations.
• Experience supervising mechanics and transportation personnel.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, and fleet maintenance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and computer systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Work Environment
