American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements * Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry * Discipline: RN * Start Date: 07/20/2026 * Duration: 13 weeks * 36 hours per week * Shift: 12 hours, nights * Employment Type: TravelAssignment Overview * Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs * Hours: 36 hrs/wk * Start Date: Jul 20, 2026 * Length: 13 weeks * Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a Surgical ACE unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring proven experience in high-volume, fast-paced trauma environments.Details * 32-bed Surgical ACE unit (5A) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center * Adult and older adult patient population * Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 * Trauma patients managed alongside Heparin drips and other acute medications * Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment * Epic EMR used * Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week * Block scheduling is not approved on most units * Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month * No on-call requirementsRequirements * Active RN license - Georgia (GA) or Compact license required * Current BLS and ACLS certifications required * Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience required * Proven experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments with complex and diverse cases * Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered * Epic EMR experience requiredAdditional Information * No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment * Experience with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) training is a plus * Local candidates are accepted for this position * A completed skills checklist matching the Med/Surg Telemetry specialty is required for considerationAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-726337.
