This full-time clinical role involves coordinating and implementing patient care within the operating room setting, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient care for patients. The RN will work dayshift hours and contribute to a team dedicated to patient safety and excellence. Job Details: * Shift: Days, 6:30 AM 3:00 PM * Start Date: 08/10/2026 * Schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, minimum of 40 hours weekly * Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA, and at least 0 years of experience in perioperative nursing. * Preferred Qualifications: Experience with operating room procedures, knowledge of sterile techniques, and familiarity with electronic medical records systems. * Responsibilities: * Obtain and record initial assessments, establish priorities based on patient needs. * Reassess patients systematically and develop measurable, individualized care plans. * Make nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and patient outcomes, modifying plans as necessary. * Participate in patient education and discharge planning. * Perform Point of Care testing procedures. * Delegate tasks effectively, coordinate team assignments, and ensure quality patient care. * Promote a positive work environment and professional growth. * Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. * Adhere to safety policies and procedures, demonstrating professionalism at all times. * Additional Information: * This role involves backfill replacement for temporary staffing needs and requires flexibility and professionalism to adapt to changing circumstances. * The candidate must be able to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate a high level of patient-focused care.
