Key Details * Shift: Night Shift - 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) * Contract Length: 13 Weeks * Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend * Patient Ratio: 1:3 (Days and Nights) * Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, and Pediatrics * Floating Required: Yes, between Post Partum and Special Care Nursery * Orientation Hours: 24 hours Qualifications * Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a pediatric setting * Preferred Certifications: BLS, PALS * Preferred Skills: Previous charge experience and teaching hospital experience Unit and Patient Care Details The pediatric unit is integrated within the postpartum unit, catering to a variety of diagnoses including: * Asthma * Bronchiolitis * Other Upper Respiratory Infections * Suicidal Ideation and Other Psych Issues * Post-Surgical Recovery (simple procedures like appendectomy, tonsillectomy, etc.) * Failure to Thrive * Jaundice * Non-Accidental Trauma Professional Skills and Equipment * Management and Interpretation of Dysrhythmias * Breastfeeding Support and Handling of Breast Milk * IV Therapy and Phlebotomy * Central Line and Implanted Line Care * Oxygen Delivery Systems and BiPAP/CPAP Management * Isolation Precautions and PPE Additional Information This position provides the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment supported by various interdisciplinary services including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services, ensuring comprehensive care for all pediatric patients.
