Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Health RN with 2+ years of experience and at least one prior travel assignment, requiring a DC RN license.

Details

• Occupational Health unit setting
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• One weekend shift required on November 22nd
• Performs fit testing, urine drug screens (UDS), flu vaccinations, and oral swabs

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• COHN-S or COHN certification preferred
• 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• At least 1 previous travel assignment required
• Skills in assessment and mask fit testing
• Experience with specimen collection including throat, urine, and venipuncture/phlebotomy
• Experience with urine dipstick/urinalysis lab testing
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
• Must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include immunizations, fit testing, drug testing and chain of custody procedures, and specimen collection
• Strong immunization skills are helpful for this role
• Experience in phlebotomy and drug testing with chain of custody is helpful
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Manager interviews are not guaranteed
