Wilmington Gastroenterology Associates is seeking an experienced, motivated Triage Supervisor to join our growing team. What You'll Do

As the Triage Supervisor, you will provide leadership and oversight for our triage department while serving as a key clinical resource for providers, staff, and patients. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise, mentor, and support triage nursing staff.

  • Manage staffing schedules and daily workflow.

  • Perform annual employee evaluations and provide coaching for professional development.

  • Assist with training and cross-training.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between patients and providers, ensuring timely communication.

  • Review and communicate test results.

  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and radiology scheduling.

  • Provide patient education and administer medications within your scope of practice.

  • Serve as a clinical resource for the practice and assist with maintaining efficient patient flow.

  • Support quality patient care through collaboration with providers and clinical staff.

  • Assist with specialized nursing responsibilities, including infusion coverage as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Current North Carolina Nursing License (RN or LPN).

  • Minimum of two years of triage and/or Gastroenterology experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills are required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound clinical decisions.

  • Positive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and exceptional patient care.

  • A leader who enjoys mentoring others, fostering accountability, and building a positive team culture.
