This 199-bed acute care teaching hospital holds a Level 3 Trauma designation and provides urological services across clinic, surgical, and inpatient settings. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and administrative support systems to facilitate effective urological care coordination throughout the assignment. Appropriate resources are in place to support clinicians managing a broad range of urological cases within this hybrid clinical environment.

Las Cruces, NM blends city amenities with small-town character, offering a range of cultural events, art exhibits, live music, and local markets throughout the year. The broader New Mexico region is notable for its Native American heritage, chile pepper culture, and attractions such as PistachioLand, which features a 30-foot pistachio sculpture and orchard tours, as well as outdoor recreation options including skiing and tubing in the nearby mountains. Clinicians on assignment may also explore unique regional attractions tied to the area's history, including the International UFO Museum and Research Center and the UFO Spacewalk experience in Roswell.

The urologist will provide hybrid coverage Monday through Friday, alternating between half-day clinic sessions (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) and elective OR cases combined with inpatient management. Saturday and Sunday coverage is limited to inpatient services. Call coverage is required as a component of this assignment. Support staff available include local urologists accessible via phone, nursing staff, a urology tech, and hospitalists.
