Essential Job Duties - We are seeking to hire a phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, prep specimens, and other duties working in a medical laboratory. The purpose of our department is to provide appropriate, affordable, accessible, and high-quality primary health care to eligible students, and provide a comprehensive disease-prevention and health promotion program in the NC State University community. The major function of the department is that of providing outpatient care to the 34,000+ NC State students. Some level of medical care is available 24 hours a day, 7-days a week during the academic year beginning in August and ending in May. Hours of service vary during the summer and during holidays and student breaks.

Requirements and Preferences
Work Schedule - Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Other Work/Responsibilities - Provides excellent customer service while explaining specimen collection procedures and follow-up care to patients as needed. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must work well with others in a team setting. Participate in fire and emergency preparedness drills.
Minimum Experience/Education
Department Required Skills - Experience with Electronic Health Records software.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education - N/A
Required License or Certification - Phlebotomy certification is required. CPR certification (Basic Life Saver) required.
Valid NC Driver's License required? - Yes
