We deeply care about sustainability, high quality, and social responsibility.We're looking for a Warehouse and Production Supervisor who brings that same energy to a fast-moving production floor.Position SummaryThe Warehouse and Production Supervisor leads daily operations across fulfillment for wholesale and retail orders. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be on the floor directing the team, holding people accountable for deadlines and quality, and ensuring every order whether it's a wholesale account or a retail order goes out correctly and on time.A core part of this role is building a culture of ownership. You will delegate tasks clearly, follow up to confirm they were done correctly, and coach team members so that accountability becomes second nature to the team.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & FulfillmentLead the fulfillment team when volume and pace are highest.Ensure orders are packaged in the correct bag size, configuration, and labeling for each specific customer (wholesale, retail, and online).Drive fulfillment to be completed accurately and on schedule; flag and resolve bottlenecks in real time.Maintain a sharp attention to detail on counts, lot tracking, and order accuracy to prevent mistakes.Address quality issues immediately and implement corrective actions.Coordinate with the roasting team so materials, packaging, and labor are ready before each shift starts.Enforce all safety protocols.Team Leadership & AccountabilityAssign and delegate tasks clearly, with defined expectations and timelines.Follow up consistently to verify tasks were completed correctly.Manage daily team performance: coach in the moment, document issues, and recognize strong work.Enforce attendance, performance, and behavioral standards.Train new hires and cross-train existing team members on packaging configurations, fulfillment procedures, and warehouse standards.Be a visible, hands-on leader expected to spend the majority of each shift working alongside the team on the floor.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines Slower-Day OperationsOn lower-volume days, proactively assign organizing, cleaning, and deep-cleaning tasks to minimize unused downtime.Run a regular team meeting to review performance against goals and set new goals for the upcoming period.Use slower periods to audit inventory, refine SOPs, and address any gaps identified during busy roasting days.Inventory, Safety & Warehouse StandardsMaintain inventory accuracy across roasted coffee, packaging materials, and finished goods.Oversee receiving, proper put-away (FIFO/FEFO), and organized, labeled storage.Enforce safety protocols, proper equipment use, and a clean, hazard-free warehouse.Maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout production and storage.What You'll Need2+ years of experience supervising a team in a warehouse, production, or food/beverage manufacturing environment (coffee industry experience a plus).Proven ability to delegate effectively and hold a team accountable to follow through this is one of the most important skills for this role.Strong attention to detail, especially around order accuracy and packaging specifications.Comfortable working at a fast pace on high-volume days, and self-directed in managing time and team tasks on slower days.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written; able to train, coach, and give direct feedback with respect.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.Must be able to create training documents and SOPs.Essential Physical RequirementsOperate a variety of warehouse machines, tools, and equipment.Visual acuity to assess the safety and accuracy of work.Remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 3 hours.Stand, walk, stoop, and kneel throughout a shift.Lift to 50 pounds intermittently; lift up to 3 pounds to shoulder height repetitively.Grasp, finger, and reach.Express and exchange information verbally.Compensation & BenefitsA reasonable estimate of the starting base hourly rate for this role is $24$28, depending on experience.Available to all employeesCompetitive hourly wageFree financial tools with Gusto walletEmployee discount on merchandise, coffee gearContinuing coffee education classesFree monthly retail coffee bag, after the first monthIn compliance with California Sick Leave pay, paid sick leave accrues at the rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, paid at the employees regular wage rate.
