Responsibilities:
- Move material within the distribution center and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
- Receive incoming inventory and supply items, log into the company warehouse system, and stock inventory in the proper location.
- Read work orders, shipping orders, or follow verbal instructions.
- Fill customer invoices, check part numbers, clean and pack inventory items.
- Inspect inventory for defects, scratches, or other damage; notify Warehouse Manager of problems.
- Follow all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or operating company vehicles or equipment.
- Track all inventory in the appropriate system.
- Organize and clean warehouse space and company equipment as needed.
- Report any customer problems or concerns immediately.
- Coach fellow associates on warehouse operational practices and procedures, equipment operation, and safety procedures when needed.
- Enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations.
- Evaluate current processes and procedures, and recommend changes to warehouse management.
- Contribute ideas on ways to reduce warehouse cost per unit and increase productivity.
- Maintain working knowledge of the warehouse data system and perform various tasks within the system.
- Deliver supplies and equipment in a timely fashion while observing all Regulated DOT and OSHA standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
- Knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to work.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Frequently required to walk or stand for long hours and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift to 50 pounds.
- Forklift operating experience (Forklift Certification is a plus).
- Able to operate personal computers and software programs, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
- Must have a driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to clear for your DOT Certification.
Compensation of $22 per hour. Hard work pays off.
