As the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and report to the Director of Warehouse Operations. Your primary role will be to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, processing, and distribution
- Provide clear guidance and foster teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting
- Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct cycle count
- Maximize warehouse space to accommodate additional growth opportunities
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and condition of all outgoing shipments.
- Address any issues promptly.
- Inspect, maintain, and organize the warehouse to ensure an efficient, clean, and safe working environment.
- Ability to develop and share best practices across the shifts and company.
- Monitor variable costs, maintaining high customer service and inventory accuracy levels.
- Provide creative solutions to various issues (i.e., employee relations, profitability, etc.)
- Identify and drive performance metrics
- Train/develop staff to standard processes and promote individual growth and development
- Migrate labor as needed to achieve productivity goals and complete daily orders
- Oversee the returns department and coordinate returns/store recalls in a timely manner
- Send requests for disposition to publishers for titles that have been recalled at the store level
- Coordinate outbound returns transportation to vendors and publishers
- Operate and maintain a safe work environment
- Responsible for accurate and timely reporting
- Ensure quality inspections are performed weekly
- Identify performance concerns and recommend appropriate courses of action
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Director of Warehousing

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent years of experience will also be applied.
- Three to five years of management experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
- Must have a working knowledge of various computer software applications, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
